On a sunny September day tens of thousands of people flocked to Melbourne’s Federation Square to celebrate Mexico’s Independence Day.
The festival, which marked the 203rd anniversary of liberation from Spanish rule, was the biggest ever to showcase Mexican culture in Australia.
It also underlines the city’s growing taste for Mexican cuisine.
